Catherine takes inspiration for her work from the flowers, plants and natural forms that she sees in gardens and on walks around her studio and beyond.
Catherine predominantly paints floral works, playing with circular motifs and highly patterned, rich textures. She tries to paint from memory and adds elements from her imagination, letting the forms interact with the other shapes and colours.
Her flower paintings are in collections all over the world. They are joyful, life-affirming, richly detailed and endlessly fascinating. There is much to discover in the complex, tangled layers of pattern, texture and bold colour.
COMMISSIONS
Catherine creates commissioned work for private clients, commercial projects and interior designers. Every commission begins with a conversation about your ideas, colours, atmosphere, or simply what draws you to her work. Some clients come with a clear vision, while others prefer to give Catherine the freedom to interpret and explore. However you like to work, the process adapts to suit your ideas and goals.
